June Highlights-Almost A Day Late and a Dollar Short

With all that has been going on I haven't had time to post my June highlight display. Well, it IS still June for a few more hours...
My parents celebrated their anniversary on the 15th of June...their 53rd.
Here is their wedding album, invitation, and a matchbook and a little box with their names and wedding date printed on top. As was the custom, a piece, a very tiny piece, of cake was given to to the guests to take home. Legend was that single ladies would place the cake box under their pillows and dream about the one they would someday marry.
There is even a napkin folded from their wedding in the box. Cheers...the reception was held in my grandparents' back yard.

The getaway.

Beautiful hands and rings.

This poem was a gift I gave them on their 50th anniversary.

This picture was taken at our family dinner celebration for their golden anniversary...50 years.

What a nice tribute to your Mother and Father.
Glad we have had a little bit of a break in the heat.

Congratulations to your parents! That's quite a blessing to be with the love of your life for so many years! You resemble your mother so much in her wedding picture.
