Christmas Cloches

Today, I am joining Marty's cloche party, as are many others in blogland. The first cloche I will share is under my entry table. I am using the theme of Silent Night in my Christmas decor this year. I have several little lighted villages, but this year I am enjoying the Little Town of Bethlehem. I bought it many years ago at Costco.
You can see the angel under glass on the lower shelf.
Here is a closer view. I placed her there with a few of our family Bibles, the one on top given to Joey and me for a wedding present almost 30 years ago by our pastor.

"Behold, I bring you good news of great joy...Today...a Savior has been born to you:He is Christ the Lord".

"Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to men".

My second cloche is a miniature Christmas tree that I made about 35 years ago.

The kit was from a craft store...it started out as wire, thousands of little green seed beads, and miniature toys.

I strung the beads on wires and twisted them to form branches, and twisted them together to form the tree. Then I strung little white beads to make the garland, and hung the hundreds of tiny ornaments on the tree. My mother knew what she was doing buying this kit. It kept me very busy and probably out of a lot of trouble. You know what they say about idle hands.

A little bicycle and doll await Christmas morning under the tree.

This little cloche has been used every year for the past 35 years. We just called it a dome...didn't even know what a cloche was until I started blogging.

I will share more of my decorations as the month continues.

"Oh holy night...the stars are brightly shining".

I want to enjoy this holiday season with my family, and remember that Jesus is the reason for the season!

Wow you brought such memories back for me. I had the same Christmas tree craft years ago. I do not know what happened to it, but I loved it so. My parents had bought it for me to put together. I so wish I still had it. Yours is so lovely! Thanks for the wonderful memories and have a wonderful holiday.

Your decorations are so pretty! You have more patients than I do putting the little tree together with all it's decor.
Thanks for stopping by. I was tempted to not put up a tree this year.
Have a great weekend.

I love your "domes." I call them domes too but cloche sounds so French! Love the Christmas tree in the evening light.
